Mission Statement

To educate and propagate Vedic knowledge to children and the community at large with excellence

Objectives of LIVE

To advance the Hindu (Sanatana dharma) faith in accordance with the tenets and doctrines of Vedic dharma for the public benefit in London, surrey and throughout England and wales, mainly but not exclusively by means of providing:

  • systematic training and education in spiritual knowledge
  • facilitating the production and/or distribution of publications furthering Vedic dharma
  • educational spiritual tours to the holy places of Vedic India and Vedic places established outside India
  • Further objects added on 14th August 2020: The prevention or relief of poverty in, primarily but not exclusively, London, by providing, particularly but not exclusively,  food packages to individuals in need and/or charities, or other organisations working to prevent or relieve poverty.
  • To participate in cow protection projects in line with Vedic practice
  • To participate in the development, preservation and maintenance of Hindu and Vedic temples.

Our Trustees

Ashwin Soni - Chairmn of the Trustees

Ashwin was born in Uganda and has been living in the United Kingdom since 1970. He is a Fellow of the Institute of Chemical Engineering and a Chartered Engineer. He retired in 2010 after 35 years as a senior manager in the Technology and Engineering sectors of Kimberly Clark. He was instrumental in the construction of the £3.4 million Sanantan Mandir and Community Centre in Crawley. He is married with three adult children, two in-law daughters, one in-law son, and two adorable grandchildren. Gurjar Hindu Union, Crawley Community Action, Diver Crawley, and Crawley Inter Faith Network are among the charities he supports in Crawley. Music, dancing, delicious cuisine, and playing with the grandchildren are some of his favourite pastimes.

Parth Malde

Parth is a disciple of HH Krishna Das Swami, Son of Nabhinandan and Jayanti. Mathematics graduate, working in the financial industry. Interests in learning musical instrument such as mridanga and harmonium and playing tennis.

Ian Lynch

Ian is a 56 years old graphic and web designer working mainly with voluntary sector clients in SE England. Ian has been instrumental in the design and production of many of the magazines and is currently developing the website for LIVE.

Rajiv Dama

Rajiv was born in Mumbai, India and moved to Croydon in 2010. Rajiv works as a management consultant and tries to apply the Sanatana principles within his work. He has assisted LIVE since 2020 in defining organisational design and strategy. In addition, he regularly volunteers in projects held by the Mandir. Rajiv enjoys listening to music, travelling and carpentry.

Kanu Priya Devi Dasi

Kanu Priya is a self employed artist and tutor specialising in painting, decorative painting and sculptor. Has been an aspiring devotee from a teen, received harinam diksha 1998 from Srila Bhakti Sundar Govinda Dev Goswami Maharaj and Brahmin initiation 2019 from the Srila Bhakti Nirmal Acharya Maharaj of the Sri Chaitanya Saraswat Math. 

Ghanashyam Master

Ghanashyam Master was born in Gujarat and now lives in North London. He has been a dedicated follower of the Sanatan religion all his life. He is married with two children and is officially retired, yet he assists the Mandir in so many ways, especially during festival times. He is skilled at DIY projects and enjoys astronomy, chasing eclipses and comets in his spare time!
